倒水的学问励志故事网上的物品篇

大学毕业后好几个月，我一直都在人才市场不停地奔波着，希望能够找到一个适合自己的职位。那天，我看到国内一家著名的民营企业招聘一位秘书，因为待遇非常优厚，吸引了许多像我一样刚毕业的大学生。很幸运，我在几百名应聘的大学生中成为被公司通知面试的二十个人之一。

虽然已被通知面试，但我很清楚将去公司面试的这二十个人，谁都比我更为优秀，而招聘的秘书职位只有一个。我会笑到最后吗？心里可真是一点把握也没有。

到公司面试的那天上午，我早早就来到了公司总经理办公室外等待面试。我以为自己来得早，可别人比我来得更早，大家都希望得到这个令人羡慕的职位，但也都像我一样表情掩饰不住内心的忐忑不安。

轮到我进去面试的时候，看见总经理威严而沉稳地坐在对面，我反倒冷静了许多，对总经理提出的几个面试问题，我也是对答如流。渐渐地，我欣喜地注意到，严肃的总经理脸上露出了满意의笑容。最后他轻松地说：“谢谢你，你回答得非常好，如果我们录用你会电话通知你。请帮我倒杯水来好吗？”

I walked to the water dispenser on the wall, took out two paper cups because I noticed an old man sitting on a sofa in the corner of the office, reading a newspaper. I thought that while giving water to the manager, I should also give one to him - it was something a secretary would do. So I did it: first, I gave the filled cup to the manager and then poured another cup for that old man and said, "Hello, please drink this."

He looked up from his newspaper and smiled at me.

Two days later in the afternoon, when there was little hope of getting hired after my interview with no great expectations but still holding onto some faint hopes for success - suddenly my phone rang. It was a call from HR telling me they had decided to hire me as their new secretary. They told me to report immediately to meet with our chairman.

This news left me almost speechless; couldn't believe it would be someone like myself who would get lucky enough among those twenty interviewees who made it through. When I hurriedly arrived at Chairman's office for reporting duties without hesitation or doubt about what lay ahead - only upon arriving could you hardly believe your eyes as you found yourself seated behind Chairman's large desk: none other than that unassuming old gentleman seen earlier sipping tea by himself during my interview session.

"Welcome aboard," he smiled warmly at me.

Later on, I learned that giving water (or making tea) is part of their final exam question process here too! That last test has been known sometimes even make people spill water all over themselves nervously or else have them fumble around trying hard not just offer drinks but also try impressing him somehow before he ever asks them – yet only one person managed both tasks calmly: yours truly doing so quietly & discreetly offering refreshments simultaneously towards both important figures present within this space (the boss & board member). The lesson we can learn from such stories is how important humility remains key throughout life’s journey no matter where our path leads us next time round again tomorrow morning till night falls once more...
