The interview team from Global Business and Business Weekly arrived at the Longjiang Group Center in Hong Kong's Central District on November 21st. After passing through the strict security, we reached the 70th floor of the elevator, which is a building designed by famous architect Cesar Pelli with a height of 283 meters, wrapped in blue-green glass curtains next to China Construction Bank (601988.SH) and HSBC.

From his office on the top floor, one can overlook Victoria Harbour, an area closely related to Hong Kong's history and culture. This is where Li Ka-shing controls his global empire spanning across 55 countries as chairman of Longjiang Group.

Lee Shau Kee: You need to think about failure before you start any project or investment; even if everything seems fine now but there might be risks lurking ahead; I always say "预防胜于治疗" (prevention is better than cure).
